The Lexus Sales Operations department seeks a passionate, highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager to lead Lexus College and its mission to educate, engage and inspire.

Lexus College supports three training pillars: Dealer Education, Product Education and Brand & Leadership Education for dealers and internal stakeholders:

  • Dealer Education - researches, develops, produces, implements, supports, maintains, and delivers educational training materials on Lexus vehicles for retail dealer associates.
  • Product Education - develops, maintains and manages instructor-led and virtual instructor lead training curriculum, Certification by Lexus program, Lease my Lexus and LexusLearn platforms.
  • Brand & Leadership Education - creates and executes all Lexus brand and dealer leadership training for managers and professionals, plus internal stakeholders.

Reporting to the General Manager of Lexus Sales Operations, the primary responsibility of the Sr. Manager is to lead the teams responsible for the development and execution of all items related to Dealer Education, Product Education and Lexus Brand & Leadership training. These pillars of training help ensure dealer associates are educated, engaged and inspired with meaningful and fresh content that helps Lexus achieve division sales and guest experience objectives.

This position supports the objectives and priorities of key stakeholders including Lexus Marketing, Sales, Guest Experience, Product Planning and Public Relations, while also supporting TMC stakeholders by aligning resources and managing the processes for product knowledge education and certification.

The Sr. Manager must build and maintain collaborative relationships with the above stakeholders and resources outside of the Lexus College organizational structure. This position communicates and coordinates closely with the Area training teams and Lexus International to maximize training effectiveness and content sharing.

What you'll be doing:

Oversight responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Set strategy, objectives, metrics, and standards for the department and business partners
  • Influence the development, administration, and facilitation of product education for new model launches, and sustaining product knowledge courses for Lexus dealers
  • Maximize communication between the Lexus College team and Lexus Division business unit stakeholders, plus business partners, suppliers, and outside agencies
  • Implement project planning processes to ensure timely completion of training content and other projects
  • Demonstrate fiscally responsible by using sound budgeting practices to create accurate and complete budgets, with regular reports to management and divisional stakeholders
  • Coach and develop team members with a kaizen mindset, leadership examples and other accelerating talent initiatives

What you bring:

  • Bachelors Dergree
  • Experience in content development and managing adult learning programs
  • Automotive wholesale experience, understanding of retail dealership business operations
  • Broad understanding of customer service methodologies and managing customer expectations
  • Knowledge of automotive training and certification programs
  • Knowledge of automotive communications and marketing

Added bonus if you have:

  • Graduate degree in Business, Marketing, Adult Learning, Media or Communications
  • Vehicle evaluation or performance driving certification or license
  • Curriculum design, operations, and strategy
  • Classroom facilitation
  • Automotive retail operations
