WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Toyota Financial Services' Enterprise Tools team is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Senior DevOps Software Engineer to join us in building world-class platform engineering solutions. In this role, you will drive the development and enhancement of our CI/CD pipelines and container platforms, empowering our development teams to deliver innovative financial services efficiently and reliably. Reporting to the Enterprise Tools Manager, you will play a key role in advancing our technology strategy to create seamless, automated, and scalable infrastructure that supports our business goals.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Imagine a typical day where you lead the design and execution of cutting-edge DevOps solutions that streamline software delivery and improve developer productivity. Success means delivering robust automation and self-service platforms that accelerate innovation across Toyota Financial Services.
- Own and execute technology initiatives focused on CI/CD pipelines and container platforms, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance the employee and developer experience.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices, continuously improving our technology stack.
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of self-service automation tools that reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency.
- Provide expert guidance on automation best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Drive innovation by integrating container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and AWS Fargate into our CI/CD workflows.
- Partner with software engineers and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable cloud-native platforms.
WHAT YOU BRING
Your background and skills will set you up for success in this role:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience providing a strong foundation in software engineering or related fields.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native platforms and services, preferably on AWS.
- Mastery of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions, including configuration, customization, and integration.
- Proven ability to automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes to boost efficiency.
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Java, Bash, or Groovy to customize and automate CI/CD workflows.
- Experience integrating containerization into CI/CD pipelines, including Docker image management and orchestration with Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or AWS Fargate.
- Solid understanding of test-driven development (TDD) principles applied to automation.
- Proficiency with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, and EKS.
- Expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, and AWS CodeDeploy.

- Additional years of experience leading complex DevOps projects in large-scale environments.
- Specialized certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Kubernetes Administrator.
- Experience with emerging automation frameworks and cloud-native security best practices.
