The primary responsibility of this role is to help create strategies, develop countermeasures/plans, gain executive consensus, and execute projects of varied sizes and types related to onsite services utilized by our employees. Examples of these offerings range from dining, childcare, uniforms, fitness, janitorial, landscaping or property services, depending on the location.

Reporting to the Manager - Corporate Shared Services, the person in this role will support the People and Property Services department's objective to [support the Corporate Shared Services department's objective to efficiently and effectively deliver products and services that innovatively meet current and anticipate future needs, while spending responsibly, and develop and manage KPI's for service providers.

What you'll be doing

  • Evaluate the current state of People & Property Service offerings, for assigned commodity, across employee locations and seek to determine future state recommendations, based on standardization and operational efficiencies.
  • Create People & Property Service strategic plan, for assigned commodity, by performing research by contacting suppliers, industry benchmarking and working with Toyota team members; Identify pros and cons of options being evaluated, make recommendations and present to management; Create business cases with clear justification to support project/equipment needed.
  • Create a national standard of what requirements should be, for assigned commodity, based on research, understanding form and function; gain consensus from all stakeholders for concurrence.
  • Act as stakeholder supporting large construction projects thru implementation to ensure the strategic plan that was created is being followed thru to meet our established standards and expectations for project success.
  • Manage national and local supplier operational relationships: KPI updates and analysis, problem-solving, QBR prep/execution/follow-up, coaching, process development, etc.
  • Create scope of work requirements in partnership with procurement team to provide details of what is needed for our vendor partners to be successful; Ability to read and interpret contracts with our vendor partners to ensure understanding and adherence to terms of contract.
  • Get quotes, create purchase orders, track project/equipment costs, tasks, milestones, and deadlines and effectively manage the department´s budget.
  • Develop agenda for monthly property services meeting with People & Property Services regional manager's to review strategic initiatives in development, best practices, equipment, products and discuss site and/or supplier concerns.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating strategic initiatives, gaining consensus and putting vision into a thorough plan to be successful
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts, "tell a story" and make recommendations to executive management.
  • Demonstrated Finance experience including budgeting, financial modeling, and project management responsibilities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, if not less to sites.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook).

Added bonus if you have

  • Hands-on proficiency with Ariba/SAP and processing of invoices.
  • Experience with procurement, strategic sourcing, contract law.
  • Experience with dining, childcare, uniforms, fitness, janitorial, landscaping or property services
  • Familiarity with architectural construction drawings and building construction..
