Who we're looking for
Toyota's Business Planning and Innovation Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated R&D Business Planning and Operations Analyst. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead R&D's job contracting procedures and operations.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the person in this role will support the Business Planning and Innovation Department's objective to provide accurate, efficient, and reliable processes, data, and tools for R&D's business operations and management.
What you'll be doing
- Manage JRN contracts by tracking status, ensuring compliance, and facilitating timely contracting.
- Oversee the registration and processing of JRN-related documentation for accuracy and timely submission.
- Collaborate with R&D departments to estimate resource needs, including manhours/capacity and budget.
- Respond to support requests from R&D customers and business partners such as Finance, ensuring accurate project-related financial and operations data.
- Collect, analyze, and aggregate data for operational KPIs to provide insights for decision-making.
- Assist with TMC Technical Administration requests, ensuring technical needs are met and facilitating interdepartmental communication.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for project planning, management, and operations, including JKK processes in Akari.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement process optimization strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience in project management, operations, or a related role (internships or co-op experience will be considered).
- Proficiency with data analysis software (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, Tableau).
Added bonus if you have
- Experience with SAP, Ariba, and/or MyTime (>1 year).
- Experience with Time and Projects Software (>1 year).
- Experience with R&D's job contracting (i.e., JRN) procedures (>1 year)
