Who we're looking for
Toyota's Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Measurement Seibi Lead Technician.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support Stamping PE by measuring panels and dies using contact/non-contact measurement systems such as Atos scanners, Hexagon Absolute arm, Argus, and hand tool measurement, while utilizing Polyworks for analyzing data output.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the TMNA Stamping department's objective to ensure die and panel quality for current and future models.
What you'll be doing
- Operating Atos type Scanners
- Operating Hexagon Measurement Arms
- Generating reports and color maps using WinCMM and Polyworks
- Minor Modification of checking fixtures
- Perform measurements of stamping dies, identify gaps to target
- Perform measurements of A class, underbody, chassis stamping panels and sub-assemblies to determine statistical stamped panel quality for accuracy and formability
- Perform measurements for PxP and nominal fit vehicle analysis, including digital PxP.
- Uses technical expertise to analyze measurement data and make certain appropriate recommendations for Stamping PE and D/M on next steps.
- Train and skill evaluation of Seibi technician team members
- Maintain skill matrix of Seibi technician team members
- Scheduling, prioritization and assign of measurement Seibi job request
- Asset tracking, maintenance and certification
What you bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- An associate degree (or higher) in a relevant manufacturing technology program or at least 5 years' experience operating measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Sense of urgency applying critical thinking
- Atos Scanner Operation or similar equipment experience
- Experienced with copy die scanning
- Contact/non-contact Arm experience
- Polyworks operation experience
- WinCMM experience
- Auto Grid, Argus, or other formability analysis tools/equipment comprehension
Added bonus if you have
- CMM operation experience
- PC-DMIS experience
- Tool & die making experience
- TBP (Toyota Business Process) completion before panel
- Previous leadership skills involving 4 or more team members
