Who we're looking for

Toyota is looking for team members who are passionate about technology and interested in joining a collaborative and highly motivated team as a Product Application Security Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support product security governance and compliance programs.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the person in this role will join the Product Cybersecurity Group to deploy security solutions for applications in a more connected vehicle environment

What you'll be doing

  • Review program development work products to confirm compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Analyze security risk assessments, specifications, designs, and test reports with scrutiny
  • Develop and track project plans as it relates to product security compliance
  • Collaborate and communicate with various teams and stakeholders as it relates to the job function
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of product security compliance activities
  • Performs other duties as required to enhance organizational security and resilience

What you bring

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Experience: Product development/engineering design
  • Skills: Strong critical thinking, deep analyses, technical communications, and soft skills

Added bonus if you have

  • Education: Degree(s) and/or certifications in cybersecurity and/or automotive related engineering
  • Experience: Regulatory, compliance, and/or audit experience in the product space. Project planning and management. Automotive and/or applications product development.
  • Skills/Hands on Technical proficiency: Jira, SharePoint, Excel, Git
