Who We're Looking For
Toyota's Human Resources Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Human Resources Generalist.
The primary duties of this role are to perform a broad range of HR-related responsibilities including policy and procedure development, HR project management, performance management, succession planning, employee engagement, and compensation and benefits.
Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the HR department's objective to put our customers first and deliver exceptional customer support and service.
The person in this role must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and have a strong work ethic to ensure that activities are coordinated and carried out successfully.

This onsite position will be based at our manufacturing facility in Liberty, North Carolina. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supports HR project management, including process improvements
- Analyzes HR metrics to identify trends in areas for improvement
- Assists in the Performance Management process, including performance reviews, goal setting, and individual development plans
- Guides in the creation and implementation of HR processes and systems to ensure a positive experience for all team members
- Supports Positive Employee Relations efforts
- Experience working on HRIS projects, including database management
- Partners with corporate HR by supporting Salary Planning, Payroll, Benefits, National Health Services, LOA, and other related generalist duties
- Supports employee relations issues, conducts investigations, and provides guidance to managers and colleagues regarding policies and procedures
- Serves as liaison by providing local HR support to all members of Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina (TBMNC)
- Promotes HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Enhances job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly
- Ensures compliance with labor regulations
What You Bring
- 3+ years in Human Resources (payroll, employment law, employee investigations, policy development, HR report development, succession planning), within a manufacturing environment highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree or higher specifically in Human Resources or a closely related field
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge with the ability to identify issues, adapt and implement countermeasures as needed to ensure targets are achieved
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated experience with HRIS system to include process improvement projects
- Proven ability to work independently and within a team, supporting a variety of assignments
- Demonstrated experience leading company-wide engagement events
