Who we're looking for
Toyota's Product Profit Lifecycle Management Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Financial Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to collect, process, and analyze data relating to Intercompany Parts Pricing and Free Trade Agreements to support decision-making by project stakeholders.
Reporting to the Manager, Parts Pricing Analytics, the person in this role will support the Product Profit Lifecycle Management department's objective to promote data-driven decision-making and sustainable process development for modeling activities to achieve year-over-year qualification to USMCA and other free trade agreement requirements. This member will also support the pricing of all in-house produced parts working with various manufacturing facilities.
What you'll be doing
- Modeling/Analytics: Input data and maintain changepoints from various sources to assess and summarize impact to USMCA qualification (both current and forecasted results): Interpret simulated forecast results to confirm accuracy, diagnose changes, and pursue opportunities that may improve the overall USMCA qualification results; support modeling study requests from various sources by evaluating and communicating potential impacts to USMCA qualification
- Communicate Data-Driven Insights: Summarize results and provide insights to potential opportunities that may improve USMCA qualification results/forecasts; support executive reports by visualizing data in a clear and concise manner
- Support Parts Pricing calculations by collecting data and working with a cross functional team to ensure accurate and fair pricing is set. This pricing will support profitability across the North American region
- Sustainable Process Development: Document and visualize modeling/analytics operations utilizing JKK methods to standardize processes; enhance existing and develop new tools (i.e., Excel, PowerBI, Access, etc.) to streamline and/or automate modeling operations with an output that is accessible and easily consumed by cross-functional stakeholders.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) or equivalent experience
- 2+ years data analytics and/or database management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions such as v-lookup, pivot tables, data analysis tools, and complex formulas
- Previous experience creating PowerPoint presentations
- Strong communication skills - ability to deliver complex and accurate information in a simple manner across cultures and organizational boundaries
- Detail oriented quality of work to ensure accurate results
- Strong relationship-building skills to support and collaborate cross-functionally
Added bonus if you have
- MBA or MS in related field
- Previous experience developing Power BI reports, Access databases, or Alteryx workflows
- Bill of Material / Bottoms up estimation or manufacturing cost estimation experience
- Familiarity of key vehicle components and systems
- In-depth knowledge of United States, Mexico, Canada agreement (USMCA) requirements and proven application thereof
