Who we're looking for
The AOR Risk Strategy Consultant is part of the Americas Oceania Region (AOR), which consists of nine Sales Finance Companies (SFCs) in markets outside of the United States mainland.
The role is responsible for
- Managing Risk Planning
- Oversight of Risk-related Shared Services
- Championing SFC Risk Performance
- Oversight of SFC Risk-related Reporting
What you'll be doing
Risk Planning
- Mid-term Planning - On an annual basis, update the AOR Risk Mid-term Risk Plan. Socialize it with AOR stakeholders and SFCs.
- Annual Planning - Coordinate with the AOR Risk Team to ensure that the content for each SFC's CEO Risk Scorecard is developed on schedule.
- Executive-level Presentations - Develop presentations for three AOR governing committees as well as ad hoc executive presentations.
- TFSC Window - Serve as the window to TFSC for Survey Administration and Planning Alignment.
- AOR Enterprise Risk Committee (ERC) - Serve as the Secretary for the Monthly ERC Meeting. Work with stakeholders to define the agenda. Take meeting minutes and follow up on commitments. Publish relevant materials to attendees.
- Risk Insights - Keep the pulse on Risk-related industry trends through third-party sources. Publish insights to challenge the SFCs and drive innovation.
Risk-related Shared Services
- Risk-related Shared Service Contracts - Manage the set of contracts for shared services between AOR and the SFCs. Ensure all contracts are signed and reflect the current scope of work. Lead amendments to contracts as the scope of work evolves. Perform an annual review of contracts to ensure all are current.
- Shared Services Invoicing - Manage the shared services invoicing. Ensure that invoices from the SFCs are fully reviewed then approved and paid on a timely basis. Ensure that invoices to the SFCs for shared services are created and validated on a timely basis. Track payments. Create an annual invoicing forecast for the SFCs as well as a summary for AOR. Liaise with Tax quarterly to ensure compliance.
SFC Risk Performance
- KRI Management - Lead the development of KRI threshold setting. Manage KRI reporting. Provide coaching to SFCs on the identification of root causes and countermeasures for KRI Risk Control Reviews.
- Wholesale Risk Management - Partner with the SFCs to develop reports and communication channels to gain greater visibility into the Risk considerations of Wholesale products. Partner with TMCC to identify best practices and use it to define what can be leveraged to bring greater visibility to wholesale risks of the AOR SFCs.
- Risk Reporting - Coordinate with the SFCs to enhance risk reporting and ensure that the reports are appropriately used at the SFCs. Coordinate to drive standardization where applicable.
- Risk Summit - Facilitate the planning for the biennial Risk Leadership Summit. Socialize the Summit themes. Coordinate the agenda and logistics. Ensure quality and consistency of presentations.
SFC Oversight
- ECL Review/Challenge - As part of the Region oversight responsibilities, leverage knowledge of the SFC operation and loss provisioning practices to conduct a Quarterly Challenge of the ECL.
- SFC BOD Material Review - Review the Risk-related content of each SFC's BOD packet. Verify that it matches AOR understanding. Socialize the content as needed. Provide feedback to the SFC.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of relevant work experience (in similar field and/or industry]
- Familiarity with Line of Defense frameworks
- Financial Services or banking experience
- Experience in ECL calculations
- Ability to create visual process flows
- Ability to challenge and influence decisions at all levels
- Experience leveraging internal assessments and external trends to develop actionable strategies.
- Experience developing executive-level presentations
- Ability to develop strong partnerships and influence people
- Ability to prioritize, manage time well, and multitask
- Ability to work with ambiguous or changing work situations, tasks, assignments
- A high degree of organization skills with the ability to work in a deadline driven environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
Added bonus if you have
- Advanced degree preferred (Masters/MBA)
- Automotive lending experience
- Business fluency in either Spanish or Portuguese (very strongly preferred)
