The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and execute necessary activities that increase service Operations team effectiveness to fixed operations "Field Organization" in the growth of dealership service & parts business and customer retention.

Reporting to the Service Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the Service Operations department's objective to provide innovative solutions for Toyota to increase customer retention by delivering an excellent Service experience for customers. This will be accomplished through supporting service operations engagement in growing dealership service and parts business through special programs, marketing, training, reporting and vendor relations. The person in this position will support the Service Operations team and all Toyota regions while being responsible for assisting in the development plans to maximize the customer experience and retention. Additionally, the person in this position will provide analytical, and implementation support for all Toyota Service Operations department initiatives.

We are looking for a customer focused, high energy, outgoing and highly engaged team member that is eager to learn and has a positive attitude that helps them build strong relationships with region staff and stakeholder departments across the entire TMNA organization.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide leadership in key reporting websites, including monitoring usage, enhancement requests, tracking and data feeds, while ensuring accuracy
  • Leverage relationships for outsourced support, supplier approvals, business decisions to improve/grow supplier base including integration with SmartPath-Service
  • Manage service operations training requests and coordinate necessary training activities for field and vendor training
  • Collaborate with service marketing in contributing to creation and improvement of dealer service communications
  • Coordinate service operations education efforts by facilitating technician training and professional skills training
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate service consultations and Dealer Advisory Board meetings
  • Track and reconciliation of department budget and respective procurement activities, including annual billing, budget transfers, JV's and quarterly forecasts
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and tracking of promotional merchandise

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent professional work experience
  • Experience in the automotive industry or closely related industry.
  • Understanding of automotive service operational business with ability to increase customer satisfaction and dealership participation
  • Ability to identify business trends and capitalize on partnership opportunities which are developed by the department
  • Ability to identify and solve problems through the development of effective business solutions
  • Able to set goals, train and motivate other to drive improved performance results
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results while building and maintaining positive relationships
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
  • This position requires driving; a motor vehicle record that's acceptable by company standards is required for this position

Added bonus if you have

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree
  • A track record of success working with Auto Dealers / Regions is desired
  • Experience in dealership fixed operations or the vehicle service industry
  • Ability to compile/prepare comprehensive and concise reports, for service operations department and key stakeholder audiences
  • Ability to successfully assimilate in diverse business situations and achieve department objectives
