JOB SUMMARY
We're looking for a thoughtful Sr. Engineer with an eye and passion for quality to join our Architecture team. We are building globally scalable solutions. As a Sr. Engineer you'll join the Architecture team building features and establishing engineering standards across the teams. You'll work closely with other Engineers and Product Managers to understand user stories and help developing the features. This person is a Sr. Engineer, with experience in building distributed applications in Cloud Environment at scale. The ideal person is passionate about building backend microservices, loves writing clean, reusable code and evangelize architecture and design across the organization. A sense of humor is a plus.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The typical day is... atypical.
Work in the Architecture team to build technical designs and drive evolve the architecture to accommodate and scale for the next generation. Work with multiple groups horizontally across the Organization. Taking ownership of the applications supported by their team and their CI/CD pipelines. Engineering, designing, and estimating solutions for new feature requests partnering with the product management team. Reviewing pull requests to ensure high-quality and maintainable code bases and solutions. Mentor Engineers across the teams and help elevate their technical skills. Integrating third-party APIs and SDK. Work with SaaS Providers. Writing unit and integration tests and ensure standards are applied across the teams. Diagnose/fix bugs and identify/fix performance bottlenecks in existing services/systems. Keep yourself up to date in technology evolutions and ensure we use as appropriate. Work with teams distributed across the globe.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Develop and Support Application Infrastructure in GCP, In Memory Data Bases and Servers.
- Write clean code with high quality and enforce standards within team and the organization.
- Participate in Regular Code Review and PR process and ensure that code delivered is of High Quality.
- Participate, Lead/Champion/Evangelize Architecture and best practices across teams.
- End to End Solution Ownership.
- Drive Change across teams.
- Participate in Rotational On-call.
To Land This Role:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or 10+ Years of professional Software Experience with focus on building backend services.
- 2+ Years of Google Cloud (GCP) or other equivalent cloud experience.
- Experience with any programming languages like Java, JavaScript, Python etc.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible is preferable.
- Experience with Salesforce commerce cloud and AEM is preferable.
- Experience with standard software engineering practices such as OO-development, common architectural design patterns, secure coding practices (OWASP), and documentation.
- Knowledge of standard technologies such as REST APIs, OAuth, JSON, SQL, etc.
- Working knowledge of Optimization, Performance and Capacity Management of Systems
- Good Web / Cyber Security knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to work with multiple teams across the organization, to prioritize, triage and build solutions.
- Experience with agile software development.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Ability to collaborate within the team environment.
