A Day in the Life:

JOB SUMMARY

Lead multi-dimensional 360-degree marketing programs to drive deep customer engagement online and offline. Support the brand elevation and rejuvenation strategy in Japan while connecting with the Women Empowerment mission of the brand.

At this role, the candidate will partner with internal business unit owners to support the growth of online and offline business through 3 major marketing functions:Retail Marketing, Digital Marketing, and CRM.

The candidate will foster synergy with cross-functional teams at both the Japan office and New York Headquarters to bring the year-round compelling marketing strategies to life.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Strategic Ideation, Planning and Execution

  • Partnering with key business stakeholders, including Retail, Merchandising and eCommerce teams, to formulate 360-degree strategic marketing priorities for Japan with the goal of creating deep level of engagement with our target customers
  • Design and implement year-round marketing programs, with a clearly outlined Action Plan in tandem with the global/regional key product message map. Work within the defined budget in order to meet pre-defined KPI's and objectives
  • Constantly embrace an analytical mindset to measure, review and fine tune marketing tactics according to performance
  • Lead the development of 360 concepts and deploy marketing tactics including retail, digital and CRM marketing to support key objectives and make sure all programs across channels are coherent and mutually enhancing
  • Strategic planning on Retail marketing calendar and coordinate within the team to support Retail team on all marketing activations, especially the in-store ones.
  • Closely collaborate with PR team on the coherent brand messaging to customers and media

Budget Construction, Management and Reporting

  • Be the gatekeeper of the Marketing Budget through setting and measuring the KPI and ROI by campaigns to maximize the budget effectiveness
  • Accountable for the actual spending per action/ program and the corresponding results
  • Accountable to ensure that all reporting is completed according to plan

CRM and Loyalty Program

  • Develop CRM mindset within retail and cross-functional colleagues, and foster a customer data collection culture especially on digital tools.
  • Provide regular CRM reports with actionable insights to the business unit owners
  • Deploy and upgrade functionalities on local clienteling tools and CRM dashboards
  • Scope, structure and define process to ensure that campaign selection, program and reporting needs are met
  • Contribute towards the global thinking in customer segmentation to ensure that the Japanese context is represented
  • Drive CRM and Loyalty Programs that grow local clientele and sales, with the focus on the LINE application

To Land This Role:

PROFILE

  • At least 5 years of solid experience in marketing functions, with strong leadership and consensus building skills
  • Digitally savvy. Experienced in the digital marketing landscape in Japan, including all relevant online channels
  • Strong interpersonal skills - the candidate should be able to drive goals with the big picture in mind. Also with the ability to work with colleagues both in Japan and at the Headquarters across different cultural backgrounds and personalities.
  • Be able to adapt and be flexible.
  • Be an outstanding leader who is also a strong team player.
  • A proven track record in developing 360 marketing programs
  • Relevant marketing experiences with an international company, preferably with luxury product experience
  • Candidate must be an excellent communicator who can aptly explain his/her vision and strategy to his/her team as well as having open and frequent communications with cross-functional, cross-regional and HQ teams.
  • Must be able to efficiently communicate the brands' vision to external members (agencies, vendors, retail partners, VIPs etc)
