The Corporate Merchandise Planning team is responsible for managing planning calendars to support key financial deliverables. The team is also responsible for the development of planning processes and systems. The team drives data standardization initiatives to develop key product attributes. In addition, the team works to identify, define, and standardize how the company analyzes and reports on the business.
The role of Planning Manager, Corporate Merchandise Planning, Global Outlet is responsible for supporting the Global Merchant category owner with the development of the Global Product Assortment and ensures that it aligns with the financial targets of our brand. This position is responsible for identifying opportunities, developing strategies to support the business, creating actionable reporting & materials for management meetings and developing strong cross-functional partnerships to enable efficient outcomes. To excel in the position, this person must have strong analytical skills, specifically in Excel, and be proficient in formula writing and pivot tables. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and established strategic planning experience (retail planning, ladder plans/replenishment & open-to-buy experience), creative problem-solving skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
A Day in the Life:
- Communicate financial results and action plans to management and cross-functional team on a weekly basis
- Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by department and category using OTB files & other analysis.
- Provide hindsight analysis and partner with Global Merchandising on future product positioning, testing, and opportunities
- Create category guidance in partnership with Global Merchants that align with our Long-Range Plan for Sales, Margin, IMU%, AIR and AUR
- Support driving financial results that maximize revenue, gross margin, inventory turn goals and minimize excess inventory.
- Own Global Key Item Planning process, files & communication. Work cross functionally to optimize inventory across regions.
- Global Markdown and full price transfer strategy. Establish exit strategy inventory management, communication, and execution.
- Partner with global regional planning teams to assist with ATS, transfers, and rebalancing of inventory among the regions to increase turns and reduce overall WOC.
- Strategic long range planning decks in partnership with Global Merchants
- Master data management & strategic product attribution for reporting /analytics
- Strong partnership with Global Inventory Planning team
- Establish key planning deliverables and timelines in conjunction with key financial deliverables.
- Consistently track and improve process design, rigor and discipline around planning and inventory buying, as well as inventory management and tracking
To Land This Role:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5-6 + years' experience in a retail planning, allocation, global planning, production planning/capacity planning, or financial planning & analysis
- Advanced Excel skills (including formula writing and pivot tables)
- Strong analytical skills paired with strategic business acumen and application
- Extensive knowledge of retail math and gross margin proficiency; account profitability and OTB a plus
- Ability to negotiate with and influence peers, members of a cross-functional team and senior management
- Executive presence and acumen, ability to formally present business strategies and action plans.

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this position is 90,000.00 USD - 120,000.00 USD. Our offer will be based on your relevant experience and work location.
