Copywriter

6 days ago Los Angeles, CA

We create cultural resonance for brands. Creativity That Matters is work that shatters the stratosphere. That’s why our quest to discover what’s next is endless — because the only thing we’re afraid of is the status quo. We make culture our personal playground. We launch far past the expected. We chase curiosity, deep into the shadows. We will never be just another agency. And we’ve got the audacity to prove it.

We Are TMA.

Job Overview:

TMA is seeking a Copywriter who is a big thinker and a doer. Every word you put to paper is strategically sound, and grammatically impeccable. You don’t just write ads. You write conversations your audience will welcome. You can see things from every point of view –the client, the consumer, and your team at TMA. You can stay two steps ahead of the client in their own industry.

We’re looking for a person who is self-motivated, can take a stand for their work and turn around and sell it. From social and advertising headlines to the finest product copy details, no job is too small and no deadline too tight. You’re passionate about it. You eat sleep and breath creativity. It’s who you are, and you know how to channel it into great writing. This writer will engage, concept, and collaborate with a variety of partners and art directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute concepts: advertising, promotional, in-store, social and so on.
  • Handle all copywriting duties within a group, from social to signage to long-form web copy.
  • Understand input from Creative Directors and clients and effectively apply feedback to creative executions.
  • Bring culturally relevant ideas that are both visionary and executable in budget.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client, cultural and business trends.
  • Effectively build relationships with teammates and clients.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the marketplace our clients operate in, strategy, and the competitive landscape.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent years of experience).
  • Strong online portfolio (please ensure to include the link to it in your application).
  • Strong concepting chops.
  • Experience in the technology field would be a bonus.
  • Experience writing and overseeing production.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and ability to solve multiple problems creatively and strategically at once, under quick deadlines.
  • Ability to brainstorm independently or in groups to develop big ideas from beginning to end.

TMA Perks & Benefits:

  • Continuous training, educational programs, speaker series and workshops
  • Culture events throughout the year
  • Communities to connect with
  • Competitive vacation plan, sick days and personal days to prioritize your mental health
  • Parental leave
