Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key US research partner for the global e-commerce team
- Partner with both in-office and global stakeholders to define the research agenda, ensuring alignment between our vision and evolving customer needs in the rapidly changing US online shopping landscape.
- Work closely with cross-functional leaders to deepen understanding of the evolving US e-commerce market. Leverage user insights to enhance stakeholders' knowledge and support well-informed strategic decisions through data-driven research findings.
- Manage end-to-end research activities and resources, synthesizing findings into impactful insights that empower stakeholders with practical guidance.
- Foster a collaborative team culture characterized by open communication and learning. Lead research teams to complete while prioritizing individual growth through guidance and feedback, providing all members opportunities to enhance their expertise.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging methodologies, continually advancing the research process.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Psychology, Statistics, Sociology, Marketing Research, Human Computer Interaction, or other related fields
- Proficiency applying both qualitative and quantitative methods such as usability testing, focus groups, interviews, concept evaluation, diary studies, surveys, data analysis (SPSS, R or Python), A/B testing etc.
- Self-driven, be able to work with cross-functional teams
- Strong written and oral communication skills to influence product partners and major decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters or PHD degree
- 3+ years experience in user experience research, design research, or product research in the technology industry, preferably in consumer tech or content
- Experience with research on e-commerce or marketplace
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $102400 - $222933 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
