Role Overview
We are looking for a purpose-driven, people-first Team Leader to join our Trust & Safety organization. In this role, you will lead a team of Content Moderators who review and enforce our Community Guidelines across complex and fast-evolving workflows. You'll be responsible for coaching, performance management, and day-to-day operations, while cultivating a supportive and high-performing team culture.
Please note: this position may involve exposure to sensitive or distressing content, including but not limited to bullying, hate speech, child abuse, sexual assault, self-harm, suicide, or graphic violence.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Content Moderators across Live and EP queues.
- Drive performance outcomes by aligning team execution to policy and quality expectations.
- Monitor key metrics, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions to ensure team success.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Policy, QA, Training, Workforce) to improve workflows and escalate key insights.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development strategies for team members.
- Foster a psychologically safe team culture that prioritizes transparency, inclusion, and resilience.
- Ensure consistent moderation practices and knowledge alignment across both LOBs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in team leadership or people management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to motivate and influence others.
- Experience using data and performance insights to drive operational improvements.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Strong problem-solving skills; adaptable to change and ambiguity.
- Demonstrated ability to manage emotional demands and advocate for team wellbeing.
- Comfortable working in high-pressure environments with time-sensitive responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, or user operations.
- Background leading teams in fast-paced or high-risk environments.
- Familiarity with TikTok platform, live content, or short-form video ecosystems.
- Fluency in Spanish is a strong plus.
- Experience supporting multiple workflows or geographies.
- Understanding of community guidelines, global risk trends, and safety policies.
