About the Team
The global eCommerce US operation team aims to deliver high quality products together with a unique customer experience via TikTok. The role is responsible for building the TikTok Ecommerce partnership for the TikTok e-commerce business in the US. In view of the Merchandise Strategy team, we develop integrated solutions for cluster teams based on the resources and rules of XFN teams, including Recommend, Search, Shoptab, UG, Campaign, Content, B-end products and Logistics.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop Merchandise Operation Strategy:
Based on an understanding of category product characteristics and e-commerce business nuances, formulate an industry-specific product operation strategy and conduct daily analyses at both the merchant and product levels to ensure effective implementation and target achievement.
- Establish Communication Mechanisms for Product Sourcing and Supply:
Work closely with industry merchant operations and various channel teams (such as marketing, content, UGC, etc.) to build communication, coordination, and data tracking mechanisms. Develop SOPs and clearly define responsibilities to ensure an effective product supply chain.
- Execute Product Recruitment Implementation:
Collaborate closely with the industry merchant operations team to design and optimize both internal and merchant GTM strategies and materials, thereby improving the efficiency of product recruitment within the industry. By integrating sourcing mechanisms and resources, ensure that all internal and external stakeholders clearly understand the platform's requirements and benefits, thereby boosting cooperation and willingness, and ensuring an adequate quantity of product supply.
- Hero Product Incubation:
Continuously analyze and improve the quality of product supply (e.g., inventory levels, product detail pages, etc.) to enhance the efficiency of acquiring product traffic.Leverage resources from various fields to support the growth of high-quality products, incubate more hero products, and contribute to incremental GMV.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Education Background: Bachelor's degree or higher
- Work Experience: More than 3 years of experience in merchandise operations within e-commerce or more than 5 years of experience in an e-commerce platform-related sector.
- Business understanding: Profound knowledge of e-commerce merchandise operation, with a comprehensive understanding of consumer goods in the U.S. across both digital and physical realms, complemented by a keen awareness of consumer habits and evolving market trends
- Language Requirements: Effective communicator in both English and Mandarin, being able to convey complex content concepts in both languages, in a clear and compelling manner, ultimately driving successful client engagements. Business proficiency in Mandarin will be required to bridge communication and liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients, agencies and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) etc.
- Base Location: Currently or willing to relocate to Seattle.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong market understanding: Deep familiarity with the US market and at least two years of work experience in the United States.
- Strong e-commerce business acumen: Ability to understand the US merchant e-commerce business model and product operations from both the merchant and platform perspectives.
- Strong localized communication skills: Ability to engage in direct communication with both US merchant industry operations and US merchants.
- Strong strategic and data analysis skills: Ability to deconstruct strategies into actionable plans through granular data analysis and to conduct thorough analysis and summaries.
- Strong project management and documentation skills: Ability to establish processes and draft GTM project documentation based on a solid understanding of localized collaboration workflows and work culture.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $106400 - $191330 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
