The TikTok Shop Health Category Business Development Leader is looking for a retail champion lead to help us build our business and drive the growth of our category.
Role Overview
We are looking for passionate and talented people to join our commercial team in the US, to help build an e-commerce ecosystem that is innovative, secure, and intuitive for our users and partners alike. The Health Category Business Development Leader serves as the leader responsible for building the foundation for the Health business development for TikTok Commerce in North America. This person will develop the go-to-market strategy, prioritize key initiatives, and build and lead a talented business development team to expand our partnership with enterprise and key account partners and influence the shopping experience for the Health category.
Responsibilities
- Develop business development growth strategies that align with overall TikTok Shop strategies and drive awareness, acquisition, and revenue.
- Generate a pipeline of qualified prospects based on opportunity size and prioritize to deliver business development goals for growth.
- Pitch and recruit qualified prospects that meet category assortment needs and goals.
- Drive seller efficiency and seller experience enhancements regarding onboarding and integration to TikTok Shop which reduces onboarding time.
- Develop reporting, analysis, and measurement that monitors and optimizes seller onboarding.
- Collaborate and partner with internal cross-functional teams to coordinate resources and drive seller acquisition results.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in e-commerce or digital-led Retail in Brand-driven categories
- 3+ years of experience as a people manager
- Track record of delivering & exceeding sales, GMV, or other commercial goals
- Experience leading business development, partnerships, or sales at senior leadership levels
- Experience hiring & developing talent and operating high-performing commercial teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- A combination of experience on both the platform/retail side and the Brand/Merchant side
- Experience with TikTok or other content-driven platforms or content-based commerce on either brand or platform side
- Ability to recruit and retain top talent
- Strong network and connections with brands, retailers, and sellers is a plus
- MBA

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $136800 - $273600 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
