About the team
As the Ecommerce Content Policy leader, you will be responsible for mentoring a team of Ecommerce Content Policy Managers that develop policies, run programmes, and drive operational optimisation to improve users' live-shopping experience.
You are highly analytical, able to articulate and defend Ecommerce content policy philosophies, conceptualise solutions from first principles, and apply complex, evolving frameworks to manage new and developing regulatory and user experience issues.

To keep our live-shopping ecosystem healthy, you will define content scenarios and creator behaviours we want to encourage in livestreams and short videos, do not welcome, and develop policies and enforcement levers to reduce poor quality content, as well as improve live-selling content ecosystem quality.
You will work with teams to effectively localise policies to deal with country-specific trends while being aligned with company principles. You have strong research (able to scope ethnographic studies), can analyse metrics, and lead approaches to surface emergent Ecommerce content trends and risks in different markets. You also have practical experience monitoring and driving effective implementation of policies; this experience will help you optimise policies and operations to deal with content moderation gaps.

Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship and build a successful team that develops and implements data-driven content policies and strategies to regulate creators' live-selling content. This is to ensure a trustworthy and healthy Ecommerce ecosystem
- Utilise data-driven methodologies to optimise content recommendations and close Ecommerce content policy and implementation gaps by discovering, measuring, and resolving problematic content quality trends. Develop and implement new signals to facilitate risk discovery and user experience gaps
- To identify new content quality and abuse trends and develop policies to address them
- Design and implement solutions to improve TikTok Shop short video and livestream content quality & traffic conversion; increase awareness of TikTok Shop's policies and rules; increase creator and user satisfaction of the live-streaming experience
- Lead initiatives and programmes that are adapted and implemented successfully across APAC countries in a matrixes organisation. This involves working with cross-functional teams across countries to surface nuanced cultural insights, manage regulatory trends affecting promoted content, and implement solutions to close gaps across policies and processes
- Drive product feature improvements and channel this feedback in a structured and timely manner to the Product, Engineering, Algorithm teams
- Design, coordinate and execute a variety of high profile ad hoc insights projects using a range of various methodologies to understand users' viewing and purchasing preferences and iterate content strategies accordingly to provide the most trustworthy and localised content for each region

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and above, preferably in fields such as Law, Philosophy, Political Science, Economics, PPE, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering etc from a top tier institution. Advanced degree preferred
-Professional experience in Law, Policy, Strategy or Operations Management Consulting, Platform Governance, Trust and Safety Policymaking and Operations Management, or Ecommerce Strategy, Product Assortment Governance, Risk, Compliance, or Experience programmes
- 5 years of people management experience with a size of 10 or more

- Experience with programme design, OKR business goal setting. Strong business, product, and research acumen
- Able to thrive in ambiguous situations and forge a path forward to build solutions from 0 to 1. Ability to shuttle from strategy development to strong execution
- Driven, proactive, action-oriented and results-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and analytical abilities -- able to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixes and very dynamic environment. Able to absorb dense information quickly
- Excellent stakeholder management and consensus-building ability -- you will need to influence cross-functional partners, including senior leaders to achieve results
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., advanced Excel, SQL, Python) and experience analyzing large data sets is advantageous
