Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. As a Category Governance Program Manager, you will drive the development and execution of new categories, selection and compliance on TikTok Shop. The quality of our businesses (sellers) and their products is a critical pillar to ensure our mission of providing high-quality products, fast and convenient fulfillment experience, and good seller services.
Responsibilities:
- Own strategies and processes that grow ecommerce product categories in a safe, compliant, and scalable way
- Lead multiple projects across retail, compliance, operations and technical teams to define and scope the necessary strategy and workflows to be developed
- Builds strong relationships with cross-functional partners developing trust and mutual respect
- Conduct data analysis and provide metrics-driven insights on product categories, governance, and seller and customer trends for weekly/monthly meetings
- Work with internal teams to collaborate, drive prioritization, analyze and resolve complex issues
- Draw on root cause analysis and trend reporting to solicit and drive broader resolutions
- Drive cross-functional process development and improvements
- Builds strong relationships with cross-functional partners developing trust and mutual respect
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent logical reasoning skills, resource integration abilities, teamwork skills, communication skills, and ability to handle pressure.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced, highly demanding and ambiguous environment, track record of strong project delivery, negotiations and relationship management.
- Ability to organize and lead cross-functional teams to achieve goals; research and investigation skills, able to discover the unknown.
- Track record of strong project delivery in project and program management settings, able to collaborating with cross functional teams to drive end results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA degree preferred
- Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in using Excel and SQL; experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements.
- Experience in process development and process improvement, Six Sigma a plus.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $88920 - $15200 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
