Tech Lead Manager - Infrastructure Engineering
Responsibilities
Our infrastructure team supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyper-scale datacenters, managing the life cycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions, and developing various infrastructure services and making sure they are scalable and are reliable.
Responsibilities
- Grow and lead a team of engineers committed to building and operating platforms and systems that monitor, maintain, upgrade and dispatch workload over our planet-scale server fleet.
- Test, evaluate, benchmark, introduce and quality control server hardware in a production environment.
- Be both technically hands-on and people manager. Provide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and your project peers.
- Communicate cross-functionally across various teams, organizations and internal and external stakeholders to drive engineering efforts.
- Lead the team's innovation efforts, bringing in new ideas and technologies.
- Oversee the acquisition and development of software systems in organisational units.

- Monitor the results and quality of the different software solutions and projects implemented in the organisation.
- Oversee the development of Proof-of-Concept/ solutions and provide technical expertise on the development of software and platform features, ensuring that appropriate security and risk factors are considered.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any of these faculties: Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, Science (Computer Studies)
- Experience working with Unix/Linux systems from kernel to shell and beyond
- Experience in one or more programming languages such as Go, Java, C++ and Python.
Preferred qualifications:
- 3 years of direct management experience in a technology company or experience as a technical lead and experience in formal project management or business training.
- Master's degree (or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related major.
- Building platforms, automation and tools to manage server fleet, their life cycles and systems running on top.
- Building tools and systems that test, troubleshoot and measure the performance of server hardware.
- Successful experience in establishing product visions, managing roadmaps and product delivery.
- Excellent analytical, comprehension, communication, writing, and consultative skills
- Experience in a production and hyper-scale environment.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $208800 - $438000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
