Team Lead Project Manager, Eco Governance - AI Data Service and Operations

About the team
The AI Data Service and Eco Governance team is part of our AI Data Service and Operations (ADSO) team that provides safety and non-safety data annotation services, search operation services, and customer services for ByteDance's international products, helping them to build their own data ecological security. In order to uphold bottom-line safety and negative content governance on our platforms and explore cutting-edge AI technologies and their applications, like LLM models, our team goes above and beyond in optimizing user experiences and delivering groundbreaking models by dedicatedly serving model training and evaluation to verify and continually enhance model performance and strategies.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.

This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Project Managers, overseeing overall project execution and performance tracking.
- Drive performance reporting, conduct data and root cause analyses, and implement corrective action plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Requestors and Product Managers on project-related matters, including headcount planning, BPO activation, and performance reporting.
- Facilitate weekly business reviews to highlight performance outcomes and ensure effective team management.
- Support migration initiatives by leveraging AI annotation capabilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Leadership potential and team management skills, with demonstrated ability to guide and support others.
- Extensive experience managing regional and global cross-functional stakeholders.
- Solid expertise in project quality management coupled with strong data analysis skills.
- Proven track record in end-to-end project management across AI-generated content, large language models, and data annotation initiatives.
- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
