About the team

The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.
Some content viewed may violate our community guidelines, which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.
Our Search Operations team supports our efforts to address objectionable or disturbing content which could include (but are not limited to) images of violence, animal cruelty, hate speech, violent extremism, or content that exploits or endangers children. The team plays a vital role in analyzing user searches and search strategy optimization to ensure a positive and safe user experience for our community.

Responsibilities
- You will ensure legal compliance and safety of content uploaded to our platform.
- You are responsible for the development, improvement, and maintenance of standards for the security of our online communities.
- You will improve the content management strategy for short video platforms.
- You are responsible for coordinating with supervising departments for timely management of content that violates our policies.
- You will review and respond to trust and safety-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient in written, verbal, and reading skills in English.
- Experience in a BPO, call center or customer service environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- You are a fast learner and a good communicator
- Familiarity with internet laws and regulations, in particular reviewing online content, would be a good plus.
- You possess cultural sensitivity and understanding relating to global/ regional current affairs.
- You pay attention to detail and have a passion for maintaining a high standard of work.
- You have the resilience and persistence to handle routine daily tasks efficiently and accurately.
- You demonstrate consistent engagement and interest in short video platforms
- You are able to work under shifting arrangement
- Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
- Your commitment to self-care and ability to manage the emotional demands of the role
