Team Introduction:
Our Ads Measurement Signal and Privacy team (MSP) is missioned to build our security and governance infrastructure and process for the ads system end-to-end while making sure our platform with large volume of various signals and data are constantly compliant with regional regulations across the world. The team will be responsible for exploring and implementing cutting-edge privacy-enhancing technologies to protect our users while keeping TikTok a free and creative community. You will be a key player in data privacy, protection, security and managing cross-functional programs to continuously improve the process.

Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. It runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2024. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship cycles below:
1.May 20, 2024 to August 9, 2024
2.May 28, 2024 to August 16, 2024
3.June 10, 2024 to August 30, 2024
4.June 17, 2024 to September 6, 2024
5.June 24, 2024 to September 13, 2024
6. August 12, 2024 to November 1, 2024
7. September 3, 2024 to November 22, 2024

Technical Assessment
Candidates who pass resume evaluation will be invited to participate in TikTok's technical online assessment in HackerRank.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing various scalable ads measurement systems, including signal ingestion, signal processing pipeline, user matching service, ads attribution system, lift study infrastructure and algorithm, integrating with third-party partners, etc.
- Build service frameworks with highest performance and availability.
- Build globalized ad systems across multiple data centers intercontinental.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate, or Postgraduate who is currently pursuing a Degree/ Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline;
- Prior experience working with languages like Golang, Python, Java, C++ or C;
- Strong experience with Data Structures and Algorithms;
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Graduating December 2024 onwards with intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship.
• Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications
• High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities
