Software Engineer Graduate (Monetization Technology - TikTok Ads Creator Monetization) - 2026 Start (BS/MS)
Responsibilities
A "creative" is the ad (in the form of a short-form video) served to TikTok users, composed of video, background music, call-to-action card, post-click landing page, and other formats that get delivered to users. A quote goes "creativity is the soul of advertising", because a good ad creative is effective, yet difficult to produce, especially at the scale of TikTok advertising.
The TikTok Ads Creative & Ecosystem team's mission is to solve the above dilemma, by building industry-leading tech solutions for ads creative/landing page understanding, production/generation, and optimization, to inspire and empower advertisers, creators, and other 3rd parties in the ecosystem to create and deliver the best engaging creative experiences to the end users. Our work is at the core of TikTok and creator monetization. Examples of our team's work include TikTok video editor, AI-powered smart video generation (we are also exploring AIGC), and TikTok creative exchange (a creative marketplace to connect TikTok advertisers with creators or third-party creative agencies).

Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the development of innovative products that support brand and influencer collaborations, applying technical skills in AI and content understanding.
2. Support the execution of strategic goals and provide technical assistance to contribute to business growth within TikTok ads and creator monetization.
3. Collaborate with senior team members to learn and grow technical leadership skills in the creative ecosystem.
4. Contribute to the design and implementation of key projects within the creator monetization ecosystem, with guidance from more experienced colleagues.
5. Help build scalable and reliable systems that align with product objectives and requirements.
6. Support the creation of long-term technical roadmaps and assist in technical decision-making.
7. Work closely with global R&D and product management teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to execute projects.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Final year or recent graduate with a background in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, with proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
3. Passion for learning new technologies and solving complex problems with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and take initiative on tasks.

5. Prior experience with projects (academic, personal, or internships) demonstrating teamwork and technical contributions is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in academic or personal projects where you have worked with small teams or demonstrated leadership in group activities.
2. Familiarity with working in cross-functional or remote teams, with an understanding of collaboration across time zones.
3. Exposure to scalable systems or the design and development of software solutions during internships or academic projects.
4. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms or distributed systems (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) through coursework or projects.
5. Interest in ad technologies, recommendation systems, or influencer monetization ecosystems through academic or personal projects.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $115200 - $231000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
