Senior Tech Lead Manager - Global Security Organisation

Responsibilities

Team Introduction:
The mission of TikTok's Global Security Organization is to build and earn trust by reducing risk and securing our businesses and products. Also known as "GSO", this team is the foundation of our efforts to keep TikTok safe, secure, and operating at scale for over 1 billion people around the world. We work to ensure that the TikTok platform is safe and secure, that our users' experience and their data remains safe from external or internal threats, and that we comply with global regulations wherever TikTok operates.

Trust is one of TikTok's biggest initiatives, and security is integral to our success. In whatever ways users interact with us - whether they're watching videos on their For You page, interacting with a Live video, or buying products on TikTok Shop - GSO protects their data and privacy, so they can have a secure and trustworthy experience.

As a senior Tech Lead Manager (TLM), you will decide technical direction, manage and develop the team, and drive key security initiatives. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including Security, Privacy, Engineering and Legal, aligning priorities and goals of various projects.

Responsibilities:
- Program management: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects and programs, coordinate cross-departmental resources, and ensure projects are delivered on time, with quality, and achieve defined objectives.
- Leadership and people management: The ability to motivate, guide, and build a cohesive team while handling sensitive tasks like performance feedback.
- Technical leadership: Define the scalable and robust security components and infrastructures evolution strategy and roadmap; lead the execution based on the company's business, industry trends and technology stack. Identify gaps and areas of inefficiency in internal processes and drive the changes necessary to improve them.
- Communications: Manage stakeholder communication, ensuring alignment of expectations, project goals, and transparent reporting on progress.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or above with 3+ years of project delivery or technical leadership background, plus strong organisational and interpersonal skills, will enable you to succeed in TikTok's fast paced environment.
- Possess a deep understanding of security fundamentals, in one or more security areas like incident response, threat research, threat intelligence, forensics and e discovery, insider threats, attack surface management, and vulnerability management.
- Effective communication skills to handle comms to teams, management and cross functional stakeholders at all levels, and a proven track record of getting things done/shipping projects.
