We are looking for an established and strategic communications leader to join our Global Product Communications team as the Senior Global Commerce and Advertising Communications Lead. TikTok is ushering in a new way for brands and merchants to engage with the TikTok community and creating a new kind of shopping culture. Working closely with TikTok's Global Commerce and Advertising product teams around the world as well as cross-functional product, business operations and legal teams, this role will be critical in scaling TikTok's commerce and advertising positioning and product innovation stories globally for industry and consumer audiences. This role will also build narratives, devise communications strategies and advise business and product teams on a range of topics including product positioning, policies, partnerships and external issues.

In this exciting role, you'll showcase how TikTok Commerce and Advertising products are making a positive impact for merchants, small businesses and consumers, spotlight how our business creates a welcoming and positive shopping experience for our community and demonstrate our commitment to creating a safe and positive platform experience.

Responsibilities
- Lead global communications strategy for TikTok's Global Commerce and Advertising offerings in existing and new markets, including showcasing our work around platform integrity
- Work cross-functionally with regional and global communications teams to drive clear narratives about our commerce products, partnerships and vision for businesses
- Build close relationships with / and provide regular communications counsel to leadership teams including product, sales, marketing, and partnership teams
- Partner with cross-functional teams across to deliver compelling and impactful campaigns for merchants and consumers, and train company spokespeople for press engagements
- In partnership with regional comms leads, handle inbound press inquiries and interact with media on a range of issues
- Oversee reactive communications around business issues
- Train and advise spokespeople for media interviews, press conferences and presentations
- Work in close collaboration with product, business operations, legal, and commerce public policy teams in particular, providing communications counsel and support, to ensure message accuracy and consistency

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
- Deep experience in communications on commerce, advertising and/or tech industry related topics
- Excellent strategic, analytical, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead complex and high priority business initiatives
- An excellent communicator who can successfully build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
- Works well under pressure and is motivated in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead a high-impact team in a collaborative and empathetic way

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $163020 - $310080 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
