Responsibilities
Our Search Operations team supports our efforts to address objectionable or disturbing content which could include images of violence, animal cruelty, hate speech, violent extremism, or content that exploits or endangers children. The team plays a vital role in analyzing user searches and search strategy optimization to ensure a positive and safe user experience for our community.
To eliminate any doubt, this role involves reading, viewing, listening and examining user-generated content to ensure they comply with community guidelines.
Content includes images, video, text related to every day life, but they can also include (but are not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content on a daily basis.
What will I be doing:
- Manage content operation and strategy optimization for search features, ensuring productivity and accuracy meet business requirements.
- Prioritize quality and safety of content from the search side, deeply understanding and monitoring business progress to facilitate product function optimization.
- Collaborate with supervising departments to optimize working standards and conduct relevant policy and SOP training.
- Demonstrate effective cross-team communication skills and take ownership of project tasks.
- Conduct regular assessments on search quality according to evaluation standards, providing feedback and suggestions for policy improvement.
- Stay updated with search trends and algorithm changes, implementing adjustments as necessary for optimal search performance.
- Undertake additional compatible and related responsibilities as required by the project.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Fluent in German is required as the role requires communication with German markets, fluent in English is also required as it is the working language.
- Knowledgeable about search engines, with familiarity in social media platforms.
- In-depth understanding of local culture and internet usage habits.
- Flexibility to work on projects outside of core expertise as needed and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to work on potentially variable shift patterns, including weekends, evenings, and nights, ensuring availability for five out of any seven days per week.
- Willingness to work with sensitive and potentially disturbing content.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and above or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical skills including data analytics, learning ability, problem-solving skills, adaptability and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in common office software, with search operation experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in multiple locations and timezones.
- Overseas working or training experience is advantageous, with experience working in multi-cultural and diverse teams.
