The Team
This is an exciting opportunity to join - and help to shape - TikTok's Europe Content & Safety Compliance team.
This second line of defence team is a dynamic and collaborative group of legal and compliance professionals who provide strategic compliance assessment, monitoring, reporting and advice across diverse areas of TikTok's business. The team works closely with global cross-functional partners and their management teams to address content safety risk management and compliance challenges, enabling the company to achieve its business objectives while maintaining the highest ethical and compliance standards. The Role
This role will lead TikTok's second line of defence content safety risk management compliance strategy reporting into the Head of Content & Safety Compliance, Europe. The team's work is highly visible internally and externally and will appeal to those who wish to be pioneers in advising on best practices for translating safety and content regulatory risk management requirements into effective risk and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilites
- Lead the continual enhancement of TikTok's comprehensive programme of second line activities related to TikTok's Europe safety risk management compliance.
- Assess, monitor and report on TikTok's safety risk management activities in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Ensure risks are identified and properly reported and that reasonable, proportionate and effective risk-mitigation measures are taken.
- Promote robust risk accountability and ownership across the business to support effective risk management.
- Provide strategic compliance advice and support to teams engaging in risk assessment and mitigation activities, and any related interactions with external regulators and auditors regarding this work.
- Provide collaborative leadership across the team and wider business on continual assessment and enhancement of risk management governance frameworks and related compliance policies and procedures.
- Develop tailored risk management and compliance training for management and globally based teams.
- Support leadership briefings on risk management strategy & policies across risk management, monitoring and mitigations.
- Support engagements with key stakeholders, as a thought leader and strategic advisor, regarding safety risk management principles, challenges and emerging issues.
- Maintain an independent mindset and effectively challenge where necessary to achieve a robust second line of defence.
- Advocate risk and compliance, champion a positive risk culture and help provide an appropriate 'tone from the top' on risk and compliance matters.
