Team Introduction
Our Trust and Safety RD team is fast-growing and responsible for building machine learning models and systems to identify and defend internet abuse and fraud on our platform. Our mission is to protect billions of users and publishers across the globe every day. We embrace state-of-the-art machine learning technologies and scale them to detect and improve the tremendous amount of data generated on the platform. With the continuous efforts of our team, TikTok can provide the best user experience and bring joy to everyone in the world.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the international content security business, participating in content security business process optimization, exploring the use of advanced technologies such as multi-modal content understanding/large-scale machine learning/LLM, and building the industry's top content governance platform. Main included directions:
- Explore cutting-edge AI technologies, including but not limited to AIGC, LLM, multi-modal content understanding (video/image/audio/text), etc., to build next-generation security models
- Explore the best application of ML technology in solving problems such as long tail/complex governance standards/high response speed/sample imbalance
- Break through the process of the existing security governance system and explore the next-generation content security business interaction model.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above, computer, electronics, and other related background;
- Rich experience in ML/CV/NLP, including but not limited to: large-scale machine learning industry experience in recommendation, search, advertising, etc.;
- Machine learning/data mining/CV/NLP/multimodal and other related competitions or industry experience;
- Conference papers in machine learning/data mining/artificial intelligence-related fields (KDD/WWW/NIPS/ICML/CVPR/ACL/AAAI);
- Solid programming skills, familiar with programming languages such as python/C++;
- Excellent ability to analyze and solve problems, and be passionate about solving challenging problems;
- Passion for technology, good communication skills and team spirit.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $145000 - $355000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
