TikTok's Publisher Strategy team is the analytical engine that leads key business and operational decisions, which drive symbiotic value for TikTok and its media partners. The team specializes in multimodal research, insight synthesis, short- and long-term strategy development, and XFN empowerment.
About the Role
This role involves synthesizing ecosystem data, conducting market and partner research, and creating impactful reports to guide leadership. It also requires strong collaboration across internal teams and external partners to shape strategy and elevate publisher outcomes on the platform.

- Gather, synthesize and analyze content ecosystem data and research findings into clear, impactful insights for senior leadership and cross-functional teams that inform strategic decision-making, serve as a foundation for industry narratives, and improve business outcomes for TikTok and our top vertical partners

- Design and develop customized reports and visualizations that deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders
- Conduct and facilitate various forms of qualitative and quantitative research, including partner/user surveys, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking
- Manage relationships with third-party data and insights providers from procurement to delivery
- Understand and champion the needs of publishers within TikTok, and drive business decisions that bring value to all stakeholders
- Liaise between Partnerships, Product, Data Science, Marketing, Legal and Business Development teams to facilitate key business decisions
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
- Experience in the media, entertainment and sports industries; with a demonstrable track record in analytics, business intelligence and market research projects
- Proven ability to communicate complex insights clearly and persuasively across different levels of an organization
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups
- Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Deep understanding of the dynamics between large rights holders and digital content platforms, including content creation, marketing/promotion and monetization
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent graduate degree
- Experience influencing without direct authority
- Familiarity with machine learning or advanced statistical methods
- Familiarity with Agile and design thinking methodologies, as well as media
- Strong technical proficiency with data pipeline tools, analytics platforms (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Looker), data visualization and survey/research methodologies and entertainment digital products
- Holistic strategy skillset, including quantitative and qualitative research, insight synthesis, data analysis, financial modeling and business case development
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $110000 - $165000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
