Responsibilities
The Government Relations and Public Policy team covers a wide range of responsibilities: government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships. The mission of the team is to earn trust and prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok.
The Strategy & Operations team is a centralised function that leads cross-regional strategy, programmes and project management to drive the team's shared goal of earning trust and managing and mitigating political, legislative and regulatory threats.
We are seeking an experienced manager to join our team to deliver public policy programmes that advance our key goals. This person will help to set the strategic direction, design and execution of campaigns and activations across topics including safety, transparency and data security, as well as other rapid response initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Drive multi-market campaigns and activations to raise awareness among key opinion leaders and other external stakeholders of our efforts across areas including safety, data security, privacy and wellbeing
- Build strong internal network of contacts to stay close to emerging opportunities and challenges, adapting strategy and tactics as needed
- Lead our efforts to bring the voice of the TikTok community - artists, businesses and creators - to relevant public policy stakeholders in a way that is authentic and relevant to the intended audiences
- Develop a consistent and meaningful approach to audience targeting, working closely with European market leads, as well as measurement that aligns with broader business and brand performance metrics
- Partner closely with the wider Government Relations Public Policy team, plus cross-functional teams including brand safety, comms, global security, legal, marketing, product and trust and safety, to maximise impact of work
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience working on public policy positions for a technology company, government, NGO, trade association, or political party, with a proven track record in campaign development and execution
- General understanding of UK and EEA government policymaking and legislative processes
- Interest in Internet public policy issues, including privacy, security, child safety, harmful content, and user wellbeing
