The Global Public Policy team's work spans a broad and diverse range of functions, including government affairs and relations, policy and product expertise, risk and crisis management, stakeholder engagement, coalition-building, and philanthropy. Our mission is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats-and to promote an external environment that enables growth and innovation for our business.
We are looking for a talented, driven, and experienced government relations professional to support our stakeholder engagement strategy in the United States (US). In this role, you will serve as a key liaison to third-party organizations-including trade associations, advocacy groups, and nonprofits-driving engagement with key stakeholders through proactive education, outreach, and partnership efforts. You will play a critical role in advancing our mission by cultivating strong external relationships, representing the company in key forums, and ensuring public policy feedback informs cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary liaison for the US Public Policy team's relationships with third-party organizations, including trade associations, think tanks, advocacy groups, and other nonprofits.
- Educate key external stakeholders about TikTok-how the platform works, its economic, cultural, and social impact, and how it can be effectively leveraged.
- Identify, manage, and deepen partnerships with organizations focused on issues such as civil and human rights, online safety, content moderation, privacy, government relations, and civic engagement.
- Represent TikTok in industry working groups, coalitions, and at relevant conferences and events.
- Develop and produce informational materials for public policy stakeholders.
- Share feedback from external stakeholders with cross-functional teams to help inform product and policy development.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in public policy, government relations, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of tech policy and advocacy ecosystem.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a natural ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Strategic and creative thinker with a proven ability to see the big picture, set goals, and deliver results.
- Sound judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Self-starter who can independently identify priorities and follow through without constant direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with or for nonprofits, government, or political/advocacy organizations.
- Background in advocacy strategy, persuasion, or coalition-building in complex policy environments.
- Strong enthusiasm for technology and digital platforms, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to new tools and innovations.
- Experience working cross-functionally to develop practical tools or operational solutions.
