We are looking for a passionate, ambitious professional to be responsible for leading government relations and public policy in Sweden.
The Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team's work spans across a broad and diverse range of functions and workstreams, including government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships; and philanthropy.
The mission of the Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok and to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with government, policymakers and other stakeholders in Sweden to represent TikTok's mission, values and principles;
- Identify, monitor, and analyze relevant policy trends, legislative proposals, and issues of importance to the company;
- Articulate our policy positions in briefing papers, consultation responses, and internal policy meetings;
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as legal, communications, and the policy team on public policy matters to help guide the development of products, services, and policies;
- Execute strategies for engaging with policymakers around issues important to TikTok and our community of creators;
- Establish meaningful relationships and deliver innovative projects with local industry associations, partners, and NGOs;
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience of public policy and / or government relations and advocacy work at a strategic level;
- Keen understanding of the Swedish political system, environment and institutions, as well as cultural landscape.
- Very strong understanding of public policy issues around data security, privacy, child safety and other tech policy issues;
- Superb written and oral communication skills (English and Swedish)
Preferred Qualifications
- A strong network with policymakers and opinion leaders;
- Previous experience in the data center industry and/or tech company is a plus.
- The ability to work in a dynamic environment and ability to deliver measurable impact;
