Responsibilities
The Trust & Safety Monetization Policy team drives policy solutions, standards and partner engagement to enable the safe growth of commercial features within a positive and sustainable platform ecosystem. We guide safe and sustainable product development of commercial features, and pioneer stronger monetization safeguards and platform standards.
As a Product Policy Manager on our Trust & Safety team, you will have the opportunity to work with teams of Product Managers, Data Scientists, Business Managers, Operations, Legal, and other stakeholders to craft policy recommendations for the commercial space, drive cross-functional strategies and problem solve some of our most challenging safety issues that the growth of the business brings. This role will specialize in the platform's core businesses (TikTok Shop, Ads and Creator Monetization) as well as the growing suite of monetization features. You will need a deep understanding of how TikTok monetization features work, how they can be abused and our Community Guidelines.

Responsibilities:
- You will act as a Product Policy POC for the UGC monetization ecosystem to develop policy recommendations and strategies to enable sustainable business growth and creator reward programs.
- You will work closely with Product, Policy Development, Public Policy, Legal, and Public Relations to perform in-depth analysis of the content monetization ecosystem, identify potential ecosystem risks, and build consensus on policies and principles toward ensuring appropriate and high-quality growth across TikTok monetization features.
- Lead and deliver strategic cross-functional projects and solutions to improve our processes and collaboration with business partners.
- Deliver risk assessments and advise product teams on safety mitigation strategies.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of monetization features (including TikTok Shop, and enforcement requirements to support the development, launch and training of effective content policies and guidance). You will develop an understanding of Ads, TikTok Shop, and TikTok creator monetization features.
- You will streamline cross-functional workflow to optimize policy implementation and enforcement for content ecosystem risks, and respond to the growing business needs
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience working in the technology industry or public sector, specifically working on policy development or strategic projects.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in public policy, politics, law, economics, business, behavioral sciences, or any other related field.
- You are excellent at oral and written communication, with the ability to translate complex challenges into simple and clear language and persuade stakeholders at multiple levels.
- You have excellent research ability and analytical reasoning, project management, and cross-functional skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- You have experience leading and delivering on cross functional strategic projects.
- You have experience working with international partners across different time zones and cultures.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $117333 - $217022 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
