About the Team
LIVE High-risk & User Tooling focuses on high-risk scenarios within TikTok LIVE, including but not limited to Minor Safety, Extreme Risk, Election & Civic integrity. As a product team, we build solutions that span from model detection, moderation strategy to front-end tooling to empower users. We collaborate with global product, data, policy, and operations teams to tackle complex and evolving safety challenges in impactful ways.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute LIVE content safety product strategies to uphold platform integrity, protect creators, and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all LIVE users;
- Design and build system modules and tools that support content moderation, safety enforcement, and risk detection;

- Define product roadmaps and iteration plans; establish OKRs and success metrics for safety initiatives;
- Leverage data insights to identify problems, propose solutions, and make informed product decisions;
- Manage product development lifecycle from 0 to 1, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, policy, and operations;
- Balance user experience and enforcement efficiency, introducing mechanisms to improve educational impact and fairness.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1+ years of full-time experience in product management, ideally in internet, platform, or system product roles;
- Strong skills in structured thinking, data analysis, and translating insights into product decisions;
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project coordination skills across teams and time zones;
- Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented team player.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in content moderation, Trust & Safety, or risk monitoring domains;
- Background working with multimodal models, safety classifiers, or intelligent detection systems;
- Experience working across global teams with diverse cultures, languages, and regulatory environments.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $122360 - $246400 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
