About the USDS Product Safety Team
USDS Trust & Safety Product team's goal is to provide the best user experiences to safely create, consume, and enjoy content on TikTok. As a product manager for internal tools in TikTok's US Trust & Safety organization, you will help maintain the integrity of systems dependent on policy, moderation, product, and process. You will be building safety features or technical solutions to improve our capability to detect, triage and, if possible, prevent safety incidents from proliferating on our platform. You will be working with a variety of stakeholders across the globe, including Product, Product Policy, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, etc to create innovative solutions and comprehensive strategies to mitigate risks that come with new products of TikTok. You will develop streamlined and scalable processes to prevent abuse on a wide range of features while ensuring trust and protecting TikTok brand reputation. You will need to wear a variety of hats as you work with these different teams in order to ensure project success.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.
This will be a full-time position based in our Los Angeles or Mountain View, CA offices.

Responsibilities
- Own Enterprise Applications: Lead the end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and execution for internal tools supporting critical business functions. Deliver scalable, results-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive measurable business impact.
- Develop and execute Trust & Safety tooling strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify operational inefficiencies and transform complex processes into streamlined tooling solutions. Author clear, actionable requirements for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, incorporating risk and compliance considerations, defining success metrics, and leading program management and resourcing to ensure timely, successful delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Partner with Engineering, Security, Compliance, Legal, Product Policy, Safety Operations, and other teams to align tooling strategies, optimize tooling ecosystems, and maintain effective communication and coordination across global regions, time zones, and senior leadership.
- Proactive problem-solving: Conduct stakeholder interviews, analyze data, and lead operational reviews to define tooling requirements. Deconstruct complex business challenges and develop scalable, user-centric solutions that balance business impact, automation potential, usability, technical feasibility, and compliance. Drive cross-system integration efforts to ensure tools are secure, efficient, and aligned with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Experimentation: Champion continuous improvement by identifying tooling and workflow inefficiencies. Design, test, and implement automation-driven tooling solutions, leveraging data insights to establish best practices and deploy scalable tools that support sustainable growth and operational resilience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years product management experience, preferably with at least 2 years focused on internal tools or enterprise applications.
- Proven track record of building products that solve real-world business challenges for internal teams, combined with strong program management skills to lead projects from ideation to successful execution.
- Experience collaborating with technical teams to deliver enterprise software or platforms, with a solid understanding of APIs, data models, integrations, and security frameworks.
- Skilled at managing multiple stakeholders, building relationships, and aligning cross-functional priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical abilities, using data to drive decision-making, measure outcomes, and inform continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, able to clearly present to both technical and non-technical audiences, and thrive in fast-paced environments requiring agility and adaptability.

Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience managing end-to-end product lifecycles for internal tools, from requirements gathering and prioritization to release planning and post-launch optimization.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, security standards (including RBAC), data integrity, compliance, and risk management relevant to internal tooling.
- Skilled in defining and tracking KPIs to measure adoption, efficiency improvements, and overall impact of tooling solutions.
- Demonstrated success collaborating with international, cross-functional teams across multiple time zones and cultures, enabling effective communication and alignment.
- Excellent decision-making abilities in ambiguous, high-pressure environments, supported by expertise in research design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation for data-driven insights.
- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
- Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $141588 - $296020 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
