Trust & Safety team at TikTok is dedicated to building a safe environment for users to discover and create on TikTok, Lemon8, and other ByteDance products. As a product manager on our Trust & Safety team, you will work with teams of engineers, data scientists, operations, product policies, and various relevant internal teams to build safety product features and strategies. You will be working on safety features, technical strategies to improve our trust and safety processes, as well as methods to detect and address risky behaviors and actors in the community. You will also work on project management to deliver major Trust and Safety product changes.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.
Some content viewed may violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building product strategy for TikTok comment safety and ecosystem, collaborating with global cross-functional teams to conduct product roadmap planning, strategy analysis, requirements designs, and project management.
- Pay attention to the comment safety ecosystem in a data-driven manner, optimize the comment safety metrics system, locate core issues based on user community interaction data analysis, and promote solutions to achieve significant results and improve users' comment safety experience.
- Gain insight into the awareness of different user roles in comment scenarios and global industry trends, collaborate with the market and research teams to conduct industry competitor analysis, public safety perception research, and user experience insights; Identify the gap between the current situation and the ideal state and create an industry-leading comment ecosystem.
- Manage the risk of potential comment escalation, improve the detection and alarm mechanism for negative comment interaction trends, establish a robust risk management process including automatic upgrade strategies and moderation mechanisms to reduce potential reputation risks.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above
- 5 years of product management experience in Consumer-Facing mobile or web Internet companies and launching complex features or scenarios
- Strong project management and communication skills, able to manage multiple stakeholders in different timezones and influence global cross-functional teams
- Proven experience designing product solutions based on evidence and expert in utilizing data and research to analyze product designs
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and user research methodologies;
- Hands-on experience identifying and optimizing performance to improve product quality and user experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Trust and Safety and understanding the landscape and new policy development and implementation.
- Familiar with agile development methodologies, product management frameworks and algorithms.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $165120 - $311600 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
