About the Team
The TikTok U.S. Data Security (USDS) Procurement Team helps you buy goods and services efficiently, cost-effectively, and compliantly. We partner with suppliers to find the best value and ensure purchases meet company policies.
The Procurement Team is responsible for sourcing and onboarding of new vendors, supporting the development of key company systems and processes, maintaining a strategic overview of project procurement management activities and ensuring that purchasing contracts and arrangements are fulfilled in strict accordance with legal requirements, project requirements, and business policies and procedures.
In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities
TikTok U.S. Data Security is looking for a Procurement Generalist will assist across multiple categories and procurement operations activities such as, but not limited to, placing purchase orders and managing suppliers while ensuring they execute on quality and on-time delivery at cost to meet our financial goals. You will interact with multiple departments and both domestic and international suppliers. This role will drive sourcing digitization and process improvements to make it easy for employees to get the goods and services they need enabling scalability of the company's sourcing and contracting activities globally. This role requires an understanding of sourcing and procurement best practices, experience working with internal teams, an analytical mindset, and excellent communication and project management skills.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- The ideal candidate for this role is someone that has a solid understanding of the procure to pay workflow across multiple categories, and experience with developing strong cross-functional relationships with business partners across various functions.
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Computer science or other relevant fields along with 3+ years of experience leading projects in sourcing and procurement along with experience with data and analytics, ERP, and Source-to-Pay tools/P2P applications.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks while handling competing priorities and the ability to cultivate strong cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively with team members and business partners.
- Comfortable with written and verbal communication of quantitative and qualitative information with teams while having experience with project management and process mapping.
- Great culture teammate - Ability to deal with ambiguity, conflict management, and change management.
- Ability to work onsite at one of our USDS offices, preferably Los Angeles or New York.
Preferred Qualifications
- Self-motivation and innate sense of agency and autonomy.
- Ability to present at the executive-level and communicate elements of complex deals and make recommendations.
- Continuous improvement mindset. with the ability to support transformation and adopt change.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with purchasing systems including e-Sourcing, contract management and e-RFP tools.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $83600 - $130555 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
