About the Team:
We are looking for an experienced and innovative counsel to join the public policy subject matter expert team made up of seasoned tech policy leaders from an array of disciplines. The team provides strategic advice to the business and anticipates policy trends and impacts. We also proactively drive thought leadership by seeking out new ideas to help the company lead the industry. You will focus on leading the team charged with preparing responses to Congressional correspondence and other policymaker inquiries, and serve as a subject matter expert for the broader Americas public policy team, based in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate and shape the future of tech policy by partnering with internal and external legal and government affairs teams to track, interpret, and respond to emerging legislation across the Americas-including high-stakes correspondence from Congress and key public policy stakeholders.

- Craft compelling, clear messaging that demystifies complex legal and policy issues for a broad audience-ensuring our public policy communications are both accurate and impactful.
- Navigate regulatory change with confidence, working hand-in-hand with legal counsel and government affairs experts to stay ahead of shifting tech regulations and safeguard the company's operations across the region.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- JD and significant legal experience, ideally in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
- Excellent writer and communicator and comfortable tracking, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks and projects; ability to execute in a fast and flexible environment.
- Experience working across multiple functions, influencing, and collaborating with others to successfully implement programs and initiatives; history of successful cross-functional team and leadership collaboration.
- Focused on problem-solving and proactive work ethic. Self-motivated; can identify and complete work without being instructed.
- Strong research and analysis abilities paired with significant discretion. The individual will need to take complex and sensitive situations and effectively communicate their implications for the company, as well as defend priorities for the public policy function.
- Outstanding judgment, persuasive and advocacy skills, creativity, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and often uncertain environment. A problem-solver experienced at remaining focused and calm when problems come your way.
- Demonstrated familiarity with issues of importance to lawmakers in tech policy arena, such as minor safety, privacy and data security, and content moderation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience analyzing and shaping tech policy at a regulatory agency or legislative body, tech company, or law firm.
- Experience working with technology companies and ability to understand complex legal and technical issues.
- Experience partnering with global stakeholders.
- Demonstrated comfort with public speaking.
- Ability to work collaboratively on finding practical, implementable tools and operational solutions.
- Experience inspiring and developing teams.
