Role Overview:
Seeking an experienced Physical Security professional to oversee all aspects of 24/7 site security operations at our New York City office. This includes access control, video management, visitor management, badging, emergency response and the direct management of on-site security personnel.
This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for security-related matters and cross-functionality with internal and external partners, including first responders and law enforcement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a proactive approach to risk management and incident resolution.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 5 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. Responsbilities:
- Lead and manage 24/7 Physical Security Operations including scheduling, emergency coverage, (and possibly Command Center (i.e., Security Operations Center) operations) and special events.
-Develop and maintain strong working relationships with police, fire and other emergency responders.
-Provide timely response and resolution to both routine and critical incidents while maintaining a customer focused approach.
-Draft and present clear, actional reports and key performance metrics for Physical Security leadership and Executives.
-Oversee and conduct training, onboarding and ongoing performance management of all Physical Security staff.
-Colaborate with internal departments (e.g., Admin; Real Estate & Facilities; IT) and external (e.g., mutual aid with co-tenants; fire and police departments) stakeholders in order to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
- Management and incident response, including training, crisis preparation, table-top exercising, and real-world execution of Emergency Response Plans.
-Prepare and manage the physical security department's annual budget, including forecasting expenses for staffing, and capital projects.
-Work collaboratively with Finance and Procurement to ensure accurate budget allocations and timely processing of invoices and contracts.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a physical or corporate security management role, and proven responsibility for budgeting, team oversight and operational planning.
- 5+ years of experience in security operations within a corporate (as a contractor or full-time employee), law enforcement or military setting.
-Experience in leading emergency and incident response efforts.
-Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
-Experience in working with access control system(s); alarm monitoring; visitor management; badging operations; incident report-writing; policies, procedures, checklists, and post orders; management of behavior; and basic patrol operations.
-Proven ability to manage all aspects of incident response including training, crisis preparation, table-top exercising, and real-world execution of Emergency Response Plans.
-Willingness to travel to other offices and work non-standard hours (nights, weekends, holidays) and to respond to emergencies as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Security Management or related field.
-Prior military or law enforcement background.
-Certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid. Instructor certification is a plus.
-Prior guard card/license or relevant investigation certification.
-Familiarity with Lenel (PACS), Ambient AI and visitor/badge management systems.
-Experience in drafting SOP's policies and training materials for security operations.
-CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or similar security credential.
-Technical knowledge of physical security systems integration and administration (e.g., PACS (Lenel), VMS , badging operations (e.g., HID smart credentials; badge printers; low and high frequency badge readers), visitor management, SOAR systems (security orchestration, automation, and response), emergency mass notification systems, etc.
-Experience in leading Security Operations Center (SOC) or command center.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $105245 - $193378 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
