About the Team
The HR Operations team endeavours to continuously build and deliver a seamless and positive employee experience across the whole employee lifecycle. We are dedicated to leading with care and have empathy in mind. We strive to develop efficient and simple people processes, systems, policies, and programs. Parts of this role will require providing support across ByteDance, as well as TikTok. ByteDance is TikTok's parent company, whose mission is to inspire creativity and enrich life.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead the regional payroll team, including setting directions and goals, driving accountability as well as hiring and employee development.
- Oversee timely execution of payroll deliverables, payments and statutory reporting for various countries' entities in Continental Europe, while ensuring compliance with payroll legislation across the region.
- Facilitate and lead any payroll system implementations as necessary in partnership with our technology teams; facilitate and lead any process optimisation as necessary in partnership with stakeholders, working towards higher payroll standards.
- Manage assigned projects and provide guidance/ leadership from a functional perspective.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- A proven track record of multi-country payroll management in Europe with multiple years of relevant experience being a plus.
- Solid people management experience with good leadership and influencing abilities, especially strong business partnering skills and HR acumen; excellent skillsets in problem-solving, critical thinking, coaching, and project management involving key stakeholders and advisors.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to facilitate and manage changes.

- Good at process optimisation and digitalisation.
