Team Introduction:
The Monetization Strategy and Operations (MSO) organization provides business-critical insights through analytics, aligns cross-functional goals, and drives strategic partnerships. The LATAM MSO Analytics team is pivotal in shaping data-driven monetization strategies for Brazil and Spanish-speaking LATAM markets. As the founding leader of this team, you will build the analytics function from scratch, lead 3 associates, and actively contribute to hands-on data projects.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Building:
- Build and scale the LATAM MSO Analytics team from the ground up, including hiring, mentoring, and developing associates.
- Establish best practices, processes, and infrastructure to ensure scalable and efficient data operations.

- Set the strategic vision for the team, aligning analytics initiatives with regional and global business objectives.
Technical Execution:
- Actively engage in hands-on data projects: collect, clean, and analyze data using SQL, Python/R, and BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
- Develop scalable analytical solutions, including dashboards, models, and automated reporting systems.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities for monetization growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with regional monetization teams, international data teams, and business stakeholders to prioritize and execute high-impact projects.
- Translate complex data insights into actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee data pipeline integrity, ensuring accuracy and reliability in reporting and analyses.
- Manage ad-hoc requests while balancing long-term strategic priorities.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or strategy, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of building and scaling analytics teams/functions from scratch.
- Expertise in SQL, Python/R, and BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
- Fluency in English and Portuguese; Spanish is a strong plus since this role will attend Spanish-speaking markets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in tech/digital media, particularly in advertising or monetization.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS in Data Science).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic mindset with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
