About the team
Our Business Integrity team has a strong user focus and a dedication to technical excellence. We aim to meet our users' needs with reliable and high-performing platforms and services. We are looking for Machine Learning Research Intern who are excited to grow their business understanding, build highly scalable machine learning models, and partner across disciplines with global teams, in pursuit of excellence.
We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2024. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Watch your ambitions become reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.
Successful candidates must be able to commit to the following internship cycle below:
1. Off cycle / Credit bearing - Starting immediately and can commit for 6 months minimally (at least 3 days a week)

Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting-edge research on natural language processing.
- Incubate new products with natural language processing techniques, especially state-of-the-art AIGC techniques.
Qualifications
- Majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant fields.
- Research experience in but not limited to the following areas (as the first author of published papers at CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, IJCV, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICRL, ACL, EMNLP, NAACL etc.)
1. Image/video search, classification, and recognition
2. Object detection, segmentation, and tracking
3. Representation learning (multi-modality, pre-training, vision transformer, etc.)
4. OCR
5. Image/video/multimodal generative models
