Legal Counsel - Logistics - Indonesia
Responsibilities
About the Team
The Logistics legal team is part of the E-commerce Legal team based in Indonesia.
You will have experience advising regulatory issues surrounding logistics and e-commerce business, mitigating legal risks in our operation, negotiating and drafting commercial contracts and strategising legal issues to enable the business.

You will bring your energy and enthusiasm to respond quickly to a business that is scaling fast.
Your role will be based in Jakarta (or surrounding areas).
Responsibilities:
- Providing legal advice to the company's stakeholders regarding its business activities or new products
- Ensuring the company has obtained its necessary licenses and has maintained validity of its licenses
- Provide legal assistance with regards to day to day business contracts including drafting, negotiating, and managing dispute
- Assist business, operations, and senior team members with strategic planning for known and potential regulatory activities related to business and industry
- Assist multiple business units on any legal matters and collaborate with the relevant subject matter expert (including litigation, data privacy, antitrust etc)
- Assist on new initiatives and new business projects including necessary legal advice, compliance, product review and contract drafting
- Collaborate with the government relations team to mitigate any legal issues and support regulation advocacy led by the government relations team
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally acquired in a reputable law firm and multinational company
- Bachelor of Law degree from a reputable university
- Qualified to practice law in Indonesia with a license issued by PERADI
- Experience in advising on laws related to general company law, trade, cross border, logistics, e-commerce and supply chain
- Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-house experience in an international organization with a diverse working environment (FMCG, logistics, or pharmaceutical are preferred)
- Experience with analyzing products to determine their compliance with applicable laws
- Strong collaboration, documentation, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member on many different projects with multiple stakeholders and swift deadlines
- Strong sense of problem solving, analytical and logical thinking
- Demonstrating proactive work ethic, self driven, focusing on goals and resilience
- Demonstrating creative and innovative thinking, relevant judgment between commercial and compliance, sense of ownership and act of service
- Experience handling real operations (such as warehouse, transport, manufacture, malls, infrastructure facilities)
