We are looking for a talented, driven and experienced government relations professional to support our growing TikTok e-commerce public policy team. The mission of the Americas E-Commerce Public Policy team is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok Shop and to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business.
We are looking for a dedicated, team-oriented professional to drive internal and external government relations/public policy projects important to the success of the fast growing TikTok Shop US business. The E-Commerce Public Policy Coordinator will report to the Head, Americas E-Commerce Public Policy, and drive coordination and impact across TikTok's e-commerce public policy efforts at the US Federal and state levels, while supporting development of TikTok's E-commerce Small Business Advocacy Program.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate project timelines, master project calendar, work-back schedules, meetings notes, tracking documents, internal reports, and other documentation as needed; foresee and triage blockers and issues before they arise.
- Support development of the US E-Commerce Small Business Advocacy Program by engaging interested sellers, creating materials, driving programmatic goals, providing updates and managing seller fly-ins and external events.
- Support cross-functional engagement of third-party public interest groups, industry associations and thought leaders engaged in technology and e-commerce policy issues. Represent TikTok at select industry gatherings, trade associations and coalition meetings.
- Provide administrative, logistical, and organizational support for the AMS E-Commerce Public Policy team, including handling scheduling, presentations, team related procedures and objectives.
- Support Public Policy and business teams in engaging with policymakers and organizations around issues important to TikTok Shop and our community of buyers, sellers & creators.
- Provide front-line support on issues requiring engagement, solving problems, and escalating to internal colleagues as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with teams across the company including business partners, Comms and Legal.
- Analyze and explain TikTok's e-commerce services to external audiences while setting and maintaining a high ethical standard.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in political science, international affairs, government, public affairs, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in relevant fields, such as government affairs/relations, trade associations, third party organizations, regulatory, or governmental bodies.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills, with a proven ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policy topics into clear, compelling messages while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in public policy or government roles, with a strong background in e-commerce, retail policy, or related issues.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and navigate the business impacts of public policy.
- Highly collaborative, flexible, and team-oriented, with a proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional settings.
- Experience in planning and executing events of varying sizes is a plus.
- Willingness to travel. Once a month needs someone flexible domestic travel.
