The Head of Industry serves as the business leader responsible for driving revenue for mid-market advertisers across multiple industries. Your goal is to exceed revenue targets by developing the go-to-market strategy, prioritizing key sales narratives, and leading a team of advertising sales leaders and individual contributors who are split across sales (Brand Partnerships) and account management (Client Solutions) functions. You will be responsible for identifying the needs of the business and allocating appropriate resources to drive sustained growth.

TikTok follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office a minimum of 4 days a week, or as directed by the manager/department/office. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time. This position is full-time and based out of our Toronto office, which follows a 4 day in-office schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Craft overall strategy to deliver on revenue targets and steer the book of business to increased growth potential
- Deep understanding of product to drive enhancements to unlock revenue
- Bring a consultative approach that will align around a customer first methodology
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of key vertical market trends and customer opportunities
- Work cross-functionally with In-Market teams, Global Regions, Business Operations, Platform, Measurement/Metrics, and Product Marketing to optimize our client efforts
- Head of Industry's build, train and maintain a high performing team, acting as player/coach by driving long term opportunity while guiding the team through short term strategies
- Assigns projects aligned with team strengths, skills and motivations and adjusts management style to match the needs of the individual

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Years of experience in digital advertising, ad sales, and/or brand marketing
- People management experience
- Mastery in marketing, sales strategies, and sales enablement
- Expertise in media channels preferred by advertisers in the E-Commerce, Retail, CPG/Food, Beauty, and Services industries. Understanding of commonly used methods of ad budget allocation based on approaches to measurement and attribution.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of agency ecosystem, digital and traditional
- Ability to foster C-Level executive relationships with a genuine interest in customers' success
- A proven penchant for creative problem-solving
- Proven track record of high-level negotiation and exceeding sales targets
