Head of Agency Sales, Andean - Global Business Solutions

About the team:
At TikTok, our Global Business Solutions (GBS) team plays a key role in generating revenue by promoting our advertising solutions, onboarding new clients, driving ad campaigns, and more. As the TikTok community grows at an unprecedented speed around the world, our GBS team leads groundbreaking projects that are changing the landscape of the advertising industry in real time.
About the role:
The Head of Agency Sales is responsible for developing strategy and driving revenue for a team of individual contributors. They will report into the General Manager for the Andean Region and serve as the advocate for their agencies both internally and externally. They will grow and develop Agency Partnerships Managers to become strategic advisors to their clients. Success in this role requires a focus on people management, project and relationship management, client education, campaign measurement, and the ability to tell a strong story that shows TikTok's ability to drive client objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Craft overall strategy to deliver on revenue targets and steer the team to increased growth potential
- Prioritize sales narratives that relate to the needs of the agencies
- Deep understanding of product to drive enhancements to unlock revenue
- Bring a consultative approach that will align around a customer first methodology
- Provide thought-leadership and mentorship to your team on overall account planning
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of key vertical market trends and customer opportunities
- Develop, mentor and manage a team of individual contributors
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Years of direct experience in digital advertising, ad sales, or brand marketing
- Business Proficient in Spanish & English (due to the business requirement in-region)
- Experience managing advertisers throughout the funnel with a deep understanding of their challenges and objectives
- Experience building relationships with top marketing decision-makers at brands and agencies
- Ability to proactively troubleshoot and problem solve quickly and through the proper escalation channels
- Experience managing individual contributors of varying experience
- Proactive attitude with excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with media and/or creative agencies, either from the commercial side or as part of their team
- Experience in digital marketing, preferably working in media.
- Experience managing and closing investment negotiations with advertisers and/or agencies
- Skilled w/ building C-Level relationships
- Experience diagnosing and solving technical problems with product and engineering teams
- Ability to effectively translate technical language to non-technical stakeholders
