About the Team
The Global Privacy & Regulatory Affairs legal team manages and oversees privacy and regulatory matters and initiatives pertaining to TikTok's global operations. The team works cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders around the world. You will work in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment where your analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills will play an impactful role in tackling some of the most complex, interesting, and cutting-edge issues at the intersection of privacy and technology. Responsibilities
- Build and refine a robust AI governance framework to comply with enacted laws, align with industry best practices, standards, and global governance models, and adapt to technological advancements;

- Coordinate and drive cross-stakeholder alignment regarding compliance strategies and risk mitigations in relation to AI regulations;
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement AI governance controls;
- Establish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness and impact of AI governance practices, identifying areas for continuous improvement;
- Provide legal guidance on the development and use of AI technologies;
- Develop training programs for internal teams on the legal and ethical considerations related to AI;
- Develop and implement operational improvements to improve effectiveness & efficiency of AI governance processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Significant experience working in an in-house legal department of a tech company or in a reputable law firm with substantial experience in the technology sector
- Enjoys being challenged, is adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic corporate environment
- Strong drafting, presentation and communication skills
- Admitted to practice law in the US
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience, and more importantly personal interest, in technology, creative technology tools, AI, social media, and all things digital.
- Experience with analyzing products to determine their compliance with applicable AI and data protection regulations and principles, and working with product counsel, product managers, and engineers on implementing requirements.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $170667 - $319200 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
