We are looking for motivated individuals interested in complex engineering challenges around one of the most important aspects of TikTok. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Mobile Engineers, Frontend Engineers as well as SRE and Test Engineers in a high-impact and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Front End Engineer, you will:
- Develop global music library and copyright platforms, supporting ByteDance's global products
- Develop AI-related platforms, actively explore LLM technology, and integrate it into business and technical projects

- Conduct high-quality system design and coding, and solve complex technical challenges in areas such as full-stack development, multimedia, low-code, and engineering solutions
- Build front-end infrastructure, including technical research, planning and implementation, to create the ultimate user experience and enhance engineering efficiency
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Familiar with JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Vue or other front-end frameworks and technologies
- Strong coding, learning, and engineering design skills, with a keen interest in new technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in full-stack development, engineering solutions, Web audio/video, and LLM applications
- Proficiency in popular front-end engineering solutions and frameworks, with an understanding of their underlying principles
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills, with a willingness to innovate
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $119000 - $177000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
